iNDige-IS was developed out of a vision for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, families and community to thrive – by being culturally strong, empowered and safe. We endeavour to provide services that recognise and are centred on the diversity, vibrancy and wisdom of Aboriginal cultures. Aboriginal cultures are at the heart of iNDige-IS.

iNDige-IS recognises the strengths, dreams and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. iNDige-IS recognise that these strengths, including the strength of culture, ensure that our work is based on self-determination.

Fundamental to our work is the commitment to provide support and deliver services in an Aboriginal way, reflecting the priorities and needs of Aboriginal people and Communities.

iNDige-IS uses cultural knowledge and insight to develop all support services, which underpins our commitment and drive to achieve Aboriginal peoples’ right to self-determination. All iNDige-IS support services are designed and delivered in consultation with Aboriginal Elders, staff, communities and/or people.
